Thread and GitHub references
Link a thread, issue or pull request so readers open exactly the work you mean.
Link a thread
Type #12 for thread 12 in the current project, or owner/project#12 for a
thread in another project. Add a label if it helps: [Release discussion](#12).
#12 always means a thread here, never GitHub. Readers can open only threads
they have access to.
Link GitHub work
Write g:owner/repo#123 for an issue or pull request. Once the thread has a
default repository, g#123 is enough. To include a title and state, write
[Fix checkout | open](g:owner/repo#123); the states are open, closed and merged.
The first full GitHub reference in a thread sets its default repository if it has
none. The thread's opener or a project admin can change it under References
in the thread sidebar: choose Set or Change, pick a repository or type
owner/repo, then save. Leave it blank to clear it. Each thread has its own default.
Make the link useful
Use a title as the label, and put @ or & mentions outside the link. A state
you write describes the work when you posted it; it doesn't update itself.
